AMFO has the following tasks:
- The execution of the project evaluation, project management and financial administration
- The review of project applications submitted by NGO’s for completeness
- The physical monitoring of projects being carried out, checking the progress of the project compared with the original submitted and approved project plan
- The execution of a control (audit) or control related research. This depending the results of the monitoring
- Maintaining contacts with NGO’s
- To spot developments in the NGO field
- Executing (or letting others execute) baseline measurements
