Each project must meet a number of conditions laid down. These are found in the Procedure Rules. The main components are:

• Only NGO’s are allowed to submit a project application
• Project applications can only be submitted on the AMFO Application Form. No other formats are acceptable.
• The applications are to be submitted in writing (hard copy), together with an electronic version (via email). On the envelope should be stated ‘Project Application AMFO’
• All mandatory documents have to be attached (e.g. the Articles of Association)
• Project applications can only be submitted in Dutch, Papiamentu and English.

If the project does not meet the conditions, the project will be declared inadmissible. Certain types of projects are not eligible for funding. See List of Reasons for Exclusion for more information on this.
