AMFO operates grounds of exclusion. The following projects are not eligible for AMFO support:
- Housing development and infrastructure
- Activities that only aim at the institutional strengthening of NGO’s or other organizations
- Activities beneficial to just a few individuals and not to groups
- Projects with activities that are already financed by others. However, projects can receive a grant when they continue, expand or multiply (to other areas) activities that have proven successful in the past. Activities that are a meaningful supplement (synergy) to projects, financed by other programs, can also be eligible for funding.
- Art, culture, sports and environment as main activities of a project will not be funded, unless these activities are especially developed for and will only benefit the specific target groups of AMFO’s Annual Program. Preferably these activities should be part of e.g. an after school program or program for senior citizens and we will coach projects in that direction.
- Activities of which seminars, study trips and exchanges form the main activity
- Research activities, unless they are small scaled, practical and concrete and result directly in catering to the target group in a better way.
- Activities that consist of purchasing capital means such as land, buildings and other immovables
